Calculator inputs

Values entered into the calculator remain in the current page’s memory while the page is open.

The Battery Payback application does not intentionally:

• send calculator inputs to Fluidified or Cloudflare Web Analytics;
• log calculator inputs in the application;
• store them permanently in a server application;
• add them to the URL;
• save them to localStorage;
• save them to sessionStorage;
• save them in application cookies.

Reloading the page starts with an empty calculator. This description applies to calculator input values; the browser still makes ordinary hosting requests and, in production, may send separate Web Analytics metrics.

Storage and cookies

The calculator application does not use localStorage, sessionStorage or application cookies to preserve calculator state.

According to Cloudflare’s current documentation, Web Analytics does not use client-side state such as cookies or localStorage to collect analytics metrics. Cloudflare also says it does not fingerprint individuals using an IP address, User Agent or similar information for the purpose of displaying analytics.

This does not mean that Cloudflare never uses cookies. Other hosting, traffic-management or security functions may use provider-controlled mechanisms when needed to deliver or protect the service.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled for Battery Payback to understand website use and performance at an aggregate level. It is separate from the calculator’s financial input handling, and calculator inputs are not intentionally included in its analytics data.

Cloudflare documents Web Analytics as a browser-based real user monitoring service. For Pages projects with the integration enabled, Cloudflare can automatically add its JavaScript beacon during deployment. The beacon uses the browser’s Performance API and sends usage and performance metrics to Cloudflare-managed infrastructure.

According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies or localStorage to collect analytics metrics, does not fingerprint individuals for analytics display and is designed not to track individual users across its customers’ sites. These are Cloudflare’s descriptions of its current service, not a claim that no personal data can ever be processed by Cloudflare’s wider infrastructure.

Advertising and affiliate tracking

Cloudflare Web Analytics is currently enabled. Battery Payback does not currently intentionally use:

• advertising trackers;
• affiliate tracking;
• behavioural advertising or marketing pixels;
• third-party advertising embeds; or
• external fonts.

Hosting and technical request data

The site is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. Normal web hosting, content delivery and network security infrastructure may process technical request metadata such as:

• IP address;
• requested URL;
• request time;
• browser or user-agent information;
• request headers and security-related request data; and
• basic delivery and error information.

This hosting and security data is separate from calculator inputs, and Cloudflare Web Analytics is a further, separate analytics layer. Calculator inputs are not intentionally added to the URL or an analytics payload, and the Battery Payback application does not maintain its own server-side log of those inputs.

To deliver pages and assets, maintain availability, diagnose technical problems, prevent abuse and protect the service.

To respond, investigate reported problems, consider feedback, handle privacy requests and keep an appropriate record where needed.

Where the GDPR applies, Fluidified may rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing a public web service, understanding aggregate use and performance, improving the service, and responding to enquiries and feedback. The appropriate legal basis depends on the specific context; this is not a complete analysis of every situation or of Cloudflare’s own processing.

Email contact

If you email [email protected], Fluidified receives the information in the message. This may include your email address, a name you provide, message content, ordinary email metadata, attachments and other information you choose to send.

This information may be used to reply, investigate an error, consider a development suggestion, handle a privacy request, and support appropriate service maintenance and documented problem-solving.

Do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information, passwords, payment-card details or confidential battery-system credentials by email.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides Pages hosting, content delivery, security infrastructure and Web Analytics. Email infrastructure processes messages when you choose to contact Battery Payback. These providers may process technical or contact data to deliver their services.

Technical infrastructure can operate across multiple locations. Exact processing locations depend on each provider’s current infrastructure and the applicable service configuration.

Retention

• Calculator inputs: remain in the current page’s memory during normal use and are not intentionally retained by the application after reload or page closure.
• Application storage: does not intentionally retain calculator state in localStorage, sessionStorage or application cookies.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: Cloudflare controls provider-side retention and aggregation according to its current documentation and service configuration.
• Hosting and security data: possible retention depends on Cloudflare’s service configuration, security operations and applicable policies.
• Email: messages are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate, maintain an appropriate record and meet applicable obligations.

Disclosure and sale

Fluidified does not sell personal data or provide it to advertisers for behavioural advertising. Technical service providers may still process data to provide hosting, analytics, security and email services, and legal obligations may exceptionally require processing or disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to information about processing, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, data portability where its legal conditions apply, and a complaint to a competent supervisory authority.

Send privacy requests to [email protected]. A request may be limited where applicable law permits or requires it.

In Finland, the supervisory authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. Users elsewhere may also have the right to contact another competent supervisory authority.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated before or at the same time as a material change—for example, if Cloudflare Web Analytics is removed or materially changed, another analytics provider or advertising or affiliate tracking is added, or Battery Payback adds accounts, a contact form, remote storage, calculator-input transmission, browser persistence, new providers or other material processing.

The “Last updated” date will change when this notice changes materially.
